Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween everyone!

As the weather is getting colder (at least on the northern hemisphere), leaves turning and days getting shorter, we get to amuse ourselves with more holidays to keep our spirits up! First one is of course All Hallow's Eve, better known as Halloween. In the picture below, you can see what goodies we have in store for this occasion: 3 cookie bouquets for trick or treating (they each give out animated sugar-coated pumpkin cookies), a Halloween bouquet to spook your friends or visitors (if they click it, bats will fly to them, or you can say "spook" and their name for the same effect) and a witchie cauldron that hands out a yummy green witch's brew! All these of course are transferable, so you can get them as gifts as well as use them as decoration in your own home.

The Haunted Cookie Bouquet is currently our Midnight Mania prize, so if you get 30 people to slap it, you save yourself 125 L$ and get it for free! The Halloween Bouquet is the bi-monthly half-price sale, which means you get it at 50 L$ instead of 100 L$ till Halloween!

We also regularly get asked if we have funeral flowers, to commemorate those SL friends that have deceased in RL. So we decided to make in memoriam flowers. So far, we only have this big stand of white roses, but we're looking to expand the range, so any suggestions are welcome.

Upcoming hunts are the Pilgrim Hunt (in the Gairdin na Sidhe Flower Shop) and the Shining Stars Hunt (in the Gairdin na Sidhe Wedding Shop), both running from November 1st till November 31st.

And last but not least... Mark your calendars for a big Halloween Party at Gairdin na Sidhe on October 29th! Bones Writer will be playing Live and a couple of DJ's will keep the party going! There will also be prizes for best Halloween costume! Stay tuned for more news on that and the upcoming hunts closer to date.

Line of Products 2 : Potted Plants

Our second feature is our potted plants section. They are 7 prims each and they include orchids, hibiscus, ivy, daisies, aloe vera, amaryllis and more... They look great indoors as well as outdoors on a patio or deck and are ideal as housewarming gifts for friends. Most have sculpted pots and all have added dirt inside and shadow for more realism. This range is still expanding, so be sure to come by and check often or subscribe to our subscribe-o-matic by the entrance of the flower shop to stay posted on any updates and free gifts!

Midnight Mania and more...

Hello fair people,

biggest news first: we've added a Midnight Mania board to the store, which will have a new prize every month. This month it's the Bouquet of 100 Red Roses so if you want this for FREE, come click and bring 74 of your friends along too.

Line of Products 1 : Teacup Line

It's been two weeks since the last update, so high time for a new post! We'ld like to introduce all the different things we're currently offering, so in the next few weeks, each of them will be presented to you in this blog.

Let's start with the latest, our cute Teacup Line in the Gairdin na Sidhe Flower Shop. It's an adorable line of colorful teacups with a variety of flowers and/or plants in them, ideal as gift or for your own home. Each of them is only 6 prims (thanks to the aid of a sculptie for the plants/flowers) and included a shadow to make them look even more realistic.

Gairdin na Sidhe Faerie Tea Party

Karmelle Latte, our lovely shop assistant and co-manager, has created a new line for the store, the most adorable teacups holding flowers or plants like little daisies and ivy. To celebrate the launch of this line and the start of the Through the Looking Glass Hunt, we're throwing a party this Saturday, May 23rd 2009. All teacups will be on sale at half price then so don't miss out on this golden opportunity!

The party is held at the Gairdin na Sidhe Party Pasture (next to the Wedding Shop) and will kick off at 2 pm with Bones Writer playing LIVE for an hour and then DJ Nighthawk Vita will take over for a couple more hours.

Also on the news, we have 2 new artists in our gallery, Chrome Underwood, who has an interesting style of urban mixed art works and Eli Tauber, who has a keen photographer's eye in real life, leaning a little to the darker, gloomier beauty of this planet. With any luck a third new artist will have joined us by the time of the party, so you can go wander around and enjoy the beautiful works and surroundings that are to be found at Gairdin na Sidhe.
