August Update

Since the 100 red roses didn't hit the target, we changed the Midnight Mania board to a target of 25 and the prize to the Cookie Bouquet - Bee Happy (with the inscription "Don't Worry, Bee Happy"), which has a built-in animated cookie dispenser. It locked once already but the prize will stay in till September 1st so if you want a free one, come slap it and bring all your friends too! It's transfer, so you can give it as a gift as well.

The bi-monthly halfprice for the second half of August is a cute bouquet of blue cornflowers in a sculptie green ceramic vase. It's now for sale at 35 L$ (instead of 75) so be sure not to miss this one either!

Line of Products 2 : Potted Plants

Our second feature is our potted plants section. They are 7 prims each and they include orchids, hibiscus, ivy, daisies, aloe vera, amaryllis and more... They look great indoors as well as outdoors on a patio or deck and are ideal as housewarming gifts for friends. Most have sculpted pots and all have added dirt inside and shadow for more realism. This range is still expanding, so be sure to come by and check often or subscribe to our subscribe-o-matic by the entrance of the flower shop to stay posted on any updates and free gifts!

Midnight Mania and more...

Hello fair people,

biggest news first: we've added a Midnight Mania board to the store, which will have a new prize every month. This month it's the Bouquet of 100 Red Roses so if you want this for FREE, come click and bring 74 of your friends along too.

Line of Products 1 : Teacup Line

It's been two weeks since the last update, so high time for a new post! We'ld like to introduce all the different things we're currently offering, so in the next few weeks, each of them will be presented to you in this blog.

Let's start with the latest, our cute Teacup Line in the Gairdin na Sidhe Flower Shop. It's an adorable line of colorful teacups with a variety of flowers and/or plants in them, ideal as gift or for your own home. Each of them is only 6 prims (thanks to the aid of a sculptie for the plants/flowers) and included a shadow to make them look even more realistic.

Gairdin na Sidhe Faerie Tea Party

Karmelle Latte, our lovely shop assistant and co-manager, has created a new line for the store, the most adorable teacups holding flowers or plants like little daisies and ivy. To celebrate the launch of this line and the start of the Through the Looking Glass Hunt, we're throwing a party this Saturday, May 23rd 2009. All teacups will be on sale at half price then so don't miss out on this golden opportunity!

The party is held at the Gairdin na Sidhe Party Pasture (next to the Wedding Shop) and will kick off at 2 pm with Bones Writer playing LIVE for an hour and then DJ Nighthawk Vita will take over for a couple more hours.

Also on the news, we have 2 new artists in our gallery, Chrome Underwood, who has an interesting style of urban mixed art works and Eli Tauber, who has a keen photographer's eye in real life, leaning a little to the darker, gloomier beauty of this planet. With any luck a third new artist will have joined us by the time of the party, so you can go wander around and enjoy the beautiful works and surroundings that are to be found at Gairdin na Sidhe.

iHunt Through the Looking Glass

As promised, more information about the second hunt we entered, Through The Looking Glass. It starts May 24th and ends July 4th. Whereas both the Flower Shop and the Wedding Shop have a magnifying glass hidden for the SL Discovery hunt, this one will only be a hidden mirror in the Flower Shop, but with items from both stores inside, as you can see in the pictures.

Second Life Hunts

We decided to join some grid wide hunts this Spring and so we're proud to say that we're participating in the SL Discovery hunt and the Through The Looking Glass hunt.

SL Discovery runs from May 1st through June 30th and has over 500 participants! Look for the magnifying glasses in the Flower Shop and Wedding Shop (one in each). Here's already a sneak peak at what you'll get when you find them.

Welcome to the Faerie Garden

Greetings visitors :)

Welcome to the Garden of the Faeries, a place where we try to provide you with enchanting, high quality floral arrangements and gifts for any occasion at charmingly low prices in Second Life. This blog is dedicated to keep you posted on what's new, what's old and what's what in our store and in Second Life. At this point Gairdin na Sidhe has:

- a Flower Shop, where you can find vased flowers, potted plants, holiday decorations and gifts
- a Wedding Shop, where you can find all your floral wedding needs and even dresses and suits. We're looking to add jewelry too, so you can find everything you need in one place.
- an Art Gallery (Morrighan Square Garden), where you can enjoy looking at art and even buy it for your home. If you're an artist, and would like to sell your work there, please contact Eruanna Rossini.
- a small section dedicated to the darker side of us, with goth wedding flowers, vased blood red and black flowers, purple flowers and more to come.

We also have little corners and spots where you can sit and relax or dance and cuddle with your loved one, free at your disposal. We frequently organise events and sales, that we will announce here too and twice a month (on the 1st and the 15th) we offer a new half-price at the Flower Shop. We continually strive for perfection, so new arrangements are added frequently and old ones are updated to higher quality regularly.
